Urban Shore Builders/Peter Alexander and crew recently completed a month plus project for us. Primarily a seismic retrofit addressing multiple external walls on three different buildings (anchor bolts, hold-downs, shear ply, "hardie board" siding, upgraded windows, painting, and finish work). His crew was hard-working, professional, courteous, and very responsive. They arrived on time every morning and thoroughly cleaned up the work site each evening. Peter was also flexible and accommodating when changes and issues arose and always followed up to ensure everything was OK. He and his crew responded to any questions or concerns in a timely manner. When a dry rot issue was uncovered, Peter contacted us immediately, engaged his structural engineer, and had a proposed solution presented to us within a day. We would definitely recommend Peter and his crew for future work. In fact, we were so pleased with him and his team that we have hired them for another small job this week.

We recently hired Urban Shore Builders to replace the exterior cladding on several walls of three of our townhouses in our small HOA (14 townhouses), including some seismic upgrades. It was a pleasure working with Peter and his crew, who were professional, hard working and skillful. As we are small HOA, they had to be with in touch with both the board and the owners of the units on which was work was done, and they handled this extra burden well. They were also flexible and gracious when some unexpected changes arose; they adapted quickly and kept everything on track. In addition, when major rot was discovered in one of the walls they proposed a solution, got it approved by a structural engineer and implemented it without delay in a cost effective manner. We also had major rainstorm that occurred mid-project, and they took extra precautions to ensure the opened up walls were fully protected from the elements. We highly recommend Peter and his crew to anyone looking for quality workmanship and excellent service.

Had the privilege of partnering with Peter Alexander, owner of Urban Shore Builders, on an extensive construction project beginning in mid-2023. The major undertaking required moving over 40 cubic yards of soil to make way for a concrete foundation and seismic upgrades. Perimeter concrete retaining walls were built, followed by framing and installation of shear walls around the structure. Throughout the process, Peter was incredibly helpful, cooperative, and responsive. Despite permitting delays that postponed the project by several months, he maintained close communication to provide status updates and promptly restarted work once approvals were secured. Peter and his crew remained focused on quality workmanship, even in the face of challenges. I couldn't have asked for a more professional, communicative contractor and would not think twice about contacting Peter for future projects. His expertise and commitment exceeded my highest expectations.
